Borgfeldt Fun-e-Flex Wooden Toy
Prior to the masterful Kay Kamen taking the reins of Disney merchandising in the early 1930s, the George Borgfeldt Company distributed a number of Disney toys, perhaps the most popular of which were the wooden Fun-e-Flex figures of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and other Disney characters. Available in various sizes ranging from 4” to 10”, each figure featured flexible arms and legs, which allowed them to be to be twisted into a variety of poses. Today, these toys are nearly 100 years old, and being quite fragile, it’s a rarity to find one in pristine condition.
